Small-Batch Production
Take hardware and software ideas from initial design concepts to fully realized physical prototypes. Offering custom electronic control, hardware restoration, mechanical design and offer consulting services and small-batch production.
Laser Cut Acrylic & Wood Products
Custom CO2 laser cutting and vector engraving in acrylic and wood. The example pairs both materials in a single piece as custom dry-erase board made from wood and acrylic.
- Custom display stands, edge-lit LED signage (up to 8" × 11"), key chains, and custom faceplates.
- CO2 Laser Cut or CNC machined for precision panel cutouts and custom enclosures.
Game Console Restoration
Shell replacement and hinge work on a clamshell handheld. Brittle old plastics get swapped for a fresh shell rather than glued back together, which is what actually makes these things last.
- Restoration of 8-bit and 16-bit legacy electronics, classic gaming consoles, and handheld systems.
- Upgrades and modifications to extend the life of vintage equipment.
Custom Modifications
Discrete LED installations built into existing vents and panels, wired to clean out of the way and powered from the existing supply. A small, reversible change that makes a piece look like it was designed that way.
- Custom art installations and interactive interfaces.
- Edge-lit and inlaid lighting built into panels, enclosures, and signage.
Electronics Kits
Complete build-at-home kits, bagged and labelled with a printed parts list, so a club or classroom can put together working hardware and actually learn how it works.
- Ships as a full kit with every component bagged and labelled.
- Fully assembled versions are available when you would rather not build it yourself.
Small-Batch Production
Short production runs handled under one roof — boards, printed enclosures, and harnesses built and tested together. Good for the first run of a product, or for the run that proves a design is right before committing to quantity.
- Custom electronics, PCB design, and prototype assembly in one place.
Mechanical Refurbishment
Full mechanical restoration of classic machines like this Facit electric typewriter. The goal is always a piece that runs properly again, not just one that photographs well.
- Cleaning, lubrication, alignment, and cosmetic work on the shell.
- Diagnostic troubleshooting and board-level component repair on electromechanical devices.
PCB Design & Layout
From a blank schematic to a populated, tested board. Layouts are done in KiCad through to a production-ready gerber set, and every design is checked for clearances, trace widths, and current handling before it reaches the fabricator.
- Schematic design, custom PCB layout, and prototype assembly.
- Solutions with low-power microcontrollers (RP2040 / Pi Pico, ESP32, Arduino) and custom firmware development.
- Reverse engineering protocols to extend hardware functionality or bridge communication gaps.
3D CAD Design
Parametric models built with real wall thicknesses, fasteners, and tolerances rather than shapes that only render nicely. Files are handed over ready to print or machine.
- 3D modeling for enclosures, custom brackets, and mechanical assemblies.
3D Printing & CNC Machining
In-house printers and a CNC setup covering rapid prototypes through to small production runs, so a part can go from model to finished piece without leaving the workshop.
- In-house 3D printing for rapid prototyping and small-batch production runs.
- CNC light machining for precision panel cutouts and custom enclosures.
Example: Holiday Art Piece
A commissioned wooden locomotive art piece — laser cut, engraved, and lit along the track with warm and coloured LEDs, plus working headlights. Built as a freestanding display piece with a folded stand at the back, it changes from white for all-year train loving to festive colors, appearing like a Christmas tree for the holidays.
The back of the piece, showing the plywood construction, the etched logo, the folded stand, and the small control board that runs the lighting. Wiring is kept neat and routed where it stays out of sight.
